Comments According to the authors, "To ensure the specific detection of Runx1 transcripts over Runx2 and Runx3, we have used two different probes. They encompass, respectively, the first 750 bp and the last 655 bp of the chick Runx1 coding sequence, the details of which will be given elsewhere (Bollerot and Jaffredo, in preparation). All the Runx1 patterns except those of the YS obtained with the 5′ end probe were established with the two probes. For each structures, the two patterns were similar."
