CommentsAccording to the authors, "Full-length chicken cntn1, 2, 4, and 5 cDNAs and partial chick cntn3 and 6 cDNAs were amplified from oligo-dT-selected mRNA from embryonic day (E) 15 chick retina and optic tectum, using SuperScript III (Life Technologies), and Phusion high-fidelity thermostable DNA polymerase (New England BioLabs), and the products were cloned into pCR8-TOPO (Life Technologies)." As information provided was insufficient to verify exact sequence used to synthesize probe, the sequence was obtained from NCBI (acc# NM_204612.1).
