CommentsAccording to the authors, in situ probes were sFRP1 and sFRP2 ([Cauthen et al., 2001] and [Terry et al., 2000]). Terry et al., said Sfrp-1 and sfrp-2 partial cDNAs were amplified by RT-PCR from total RNA isolated from stage 10 chick embryos. One set of degenerate primers resulted in the isolation of both sfrp-1 and sfrp-2 (upstream – 5′-GGAATTCAYGARACNATGRMNGA-3′; downstream – 5′-CGGATCCTYNARCATNTCNGGCCA-3′). Sequence derived from ENSGALG00000003473 based on these primers.
